".@KellyOsbourne, I am so proud of you. You can never be bought," the Talk co-host, 62, tweeted late at night. "You always wear your heart on your sleeve. #ProudToBeYourMum."

Melissa Rivers, a producer on the show, also reacted via WhoSay. "Kelly Osbourne is a friend and has been a wonderful part of the Fashion Police family. I will miss her terribly and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors," she wrote. "As my mother [Joan Rivers] always said, the show must go on and I plan to continue in the same spirit."

Osbourne, 30, had been mulling over the idea to leave the show for a few days, after Rancic said her friend Zendaya's dreadlocks at the Oscars probably smelled like "patchouli oil."

"I WILL NOT BE DRAGED [sic] INTO THIS!" Osbourne tweeted, clarifying that she didn't say Zendaya looked like she smelled of weed. "The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same! You guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend, right?"

Rancic, 40, apologized for her comments, and both Zendaya, 18, and Osbourne praised her for doing so. However, an insider tells Us Weekly that Osbourne hasn't been happy with the show for some time now. (On Feb. 26, even dad Ozzy jumped in, bashing Access Hollywood's Billy Bush for saying that Kelly threw Giuliana under the bus.)

"This whole situation solidified her decision to move on. It was time for her to go," the source told Us. "She had five great years there, and the relationship she had with Joan [Rivers] there changed her life."

E! also announced Osbourne's departure, stating that she is moving on to "pursue other opportunities." The network said that they have not made any decisions about her replacement.
