Spencer Pratt told Us Weekly exclusively that he "knew there was something going on" with Bruce Jenner many "years ago"; plus, he updates Us on his old buddy Brody Jenner.

He sure kept up with Bruce! Hills alum Spencer Pratt caught up with Us Weekly exclusively at the Reality TV Awards on Wednesday, May 13, where he discussed Bruce Jenner's transition from male to female.

"I did watch Bruce's special [with Diane Sawyer]," Pratt, 31, told Us inside the Avalon Hollywood, where he was joined by his other half Heidi Pratt (nee Montag).

Pratt was close pals with Jenner's son Brody Jenner after starring together in 2005's short-lived Fox reality series, The Princes of Malibu, and subsequently The Hills. before the best friends had a memorable falling-out in 2010. "I was pretty aware of the situation for like, the last ten years, you know," he told Us. "I knew there was something going on, you know, years ago, certain things…"

The reality star, who wasn't aware of the specifics, said he was surprised by Jenner's confession to Sawyer (about how he identified as a woman). Pratt's old friend Brody was also a part of the two-hour interview, appearing alongside his brother Brandon and half-siblings Casey and Burt to discuss their dad's choice.

"Yeah, I’ve talked to Brody about it!" Pratt told Us of Jenner's transition. "It’s all great. He’s very excited… supportive!" He added that he was throwing his full support behind Brody and of course, Bruce. "He can do whatever he wants," he told Us, while his wife chimed in: "We support the pursuit of happiness!"

The reality couple took no sides in the icy rift between the Kardashian and Jenner families, as previously reported by Us Weekly. "We love reality TV," Montag, 28, noted. "It’s hard being on reality TV now! It’s like, so competitive and cut-throat and crazy. It’s gnarly. But we love Love & Hip Hop, we love Party Down South, we love love Real World/Road Rules Challenges, we love Total Divas, we love…"

"Kardashians," her husband continued. He also spoke about what he likes about the genre. "I’m not complaining, but in a perfect world, we could just watch reality TV all day long," he told Us. "So much more fun watching than being on reality TV."
