Stephen Collins and his estranged wife Faye Grant have settled their divorce after battling out in court for four days, TMZ reports. The news comes less than a month after the 7th Heaven alum admitted to having underage sexual relations with multiple young girls.
According to the site, the couple finalized their divorce less than a month before they were set for a public trial beginning Feb. 9.
Despite taking days, it appears the settlement worked out for the both of them. TMZ reports the now exes split almost everything 50/50.
According to the settlement obtained by TMZ, copies of the now infamous audio tape in which Collins admits to child molestation must be destroyed, with the exception of the original, which will be turned over to Collins’ lawyer, Shawn Holley. The celebrity attorney will then keep the tape locked up for the next ten years unless a subpoena is issued.
Collins and Faye married in 1985. He was previously married to Marjorie Weinman from 1970 to 1978.
