Shake it off, babe. Steve Harvey's wife, Marjorie, is in his corner following the Family Feud host's embarrassing Miss Universe debacle. She took to Instagram on Monday, December 21, one day after the incident.
"You are a Stand Up Man and A True Class Act the way you went back out on the stage on live TV and took full responsibility alone," she captioned a red carpet photo of the twosome.
She added: "I am so proud to be your wife! I love you."
The daytime talk show host, 58, has been apologizing since naming Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez the next Miss Universe instead of the real winner, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach, during the pageant's live telecast on Sunday.
"I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible," he tweeted on Sunday night. "Secondly, I'd like to apologize to the viewers at [home] that I disappointed as well. Again it was an honest mistake. I don't want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing."
Harvey also apologized to Wurtzbach, 26, who was clearly still shaken about it, after the live show.
"I was confused. I wasn't sure what was going on," Wurtzbach told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday. "I had to ask my [manager] many times like, 'Did I really win? Am I really Miss Universe? Are you going to take the crown from me now?' And they [said], 'No, no, you're really the winner.'"
