Taylor Armstrong "Devastated" by Russell's Suicide

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is understandably shaken by the news of her estranged husband Russell's suicide.

"Taylor Armstrong is devastated at the tragic events that have unfolded," her rep tells Us Weekly in a statement. "She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter." (She and Russell are parents to Kennedy, 5.)
The LAPD confirmed Tuesday that Russell hanged himself in an L.A. residence where he had been staying. His body was discovered Monday evening.

The Bravo reality star's "thoughts and prayers" are with "Russell's 11- and 13- year-old sons" from previous relationships, the statement adds.
Taylor, 40, filed for divorce on July 15 from Russell, 47, citing physical and verbal abuse.

"He was so angry about everything," a close friend of Russell told Us Tuesday. "But never did anyone suspect he would kill himself."
Added a second source: "Russell was dealing with a heavy amount of emotional and familial distress. His life was in shambles."

16I am sad to hear the news, he was the only normal one on that show, Taylor is whiny ,self centered & and what's with those lips - looks like someone punched her in the mouth - these women who are so self absorbed spend all their husbands money on designer clothes and the cosmetic surgery what a joke - I watched an episode of this retarded show and the way they all treated Russell was disgusting. So he wasn't into partying it up with people he would rather stay at home, and they trashed him for it as Taylor whined to them all about how hard her life is- really?!?Maybe if his wife stayed home and spent some quality time with him instead of wanting to go to all these parties & hanging out with her friends complaining about her marraige and maybe if she put as much energy into her marraige as she did whining about it ,he would still be here-marraige is a 2 way street its not all about you and what you want Taylor, I didn't see one episode where she put him first...Always whining about what he didn't do for her, what did she do for him? Just for him with nothing to gain for herself?if it wasn't for him she wouldn't have anything, just another twit living off a man and that poor man broke, does anyone ever listen to their vows anymore? For better or worse, richer or poorer? No apparently not... He was obviously in pain and yet none of these self centered people did anything to help him...these people need to look outside of themselves and realize that there is a world out there besides their own existence of botox and designer clothes...I am not trying to be harsh, I truly feel horrible for his children, now they are left with no dad and that is heartbreaking, I just hope these people wake up and pay attention to others ,look outside yourselves and a tragedy like this could be avoided. Just a little note, if someone in your life is depressed or showing symptoms of depression, take the time to talk with them, spend time with them, let them know how much they are loved and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel - even though some days its so dark and gloomy - there is ALWAYS a silver lining ,sometimes the reassurance of a friend or loved one is the saving grace and a lifeline for people who are having problems - My thoughts and prayers go out to his children.
I think obviously he was going through a lot of pain. However his ex-wife Taylor is a big time social climber and attached herself to kyle. When the majority of housewives formed a negative opinon of Russell she bailed and started speaking very publicly about thier marriage. This is what happens when your marry for money and status quo people get hurt and your left with a huge mess that i am not even sure she even knows how to clean up the pieces of this. Remember when she looked for ways to get rid of the dog???
So sad....no matter what you're going through in life, suicide is never the answer. I hope Taylor will someday be able to come to terms with this and poor little Kennedy...to grow up without a father now, so so sad.

Russell was staying at a friends house, Taylor had already moved out of their home, the police had to go to HER house and notify her of his death! The guy was having serious financial difficulties and going through a divorce. I think that was a VERY selfish act on his behalf! It's very sad he took the cowardly way out...didn't even think about his 5 yr old daughter! SAD!

NOW she requests privacy, NOW she cares for her daughter...no person with any kind of dignity would want her private life prostituted on tv as some "housewife" unless they are desperate for attention and some kind of disgusting exhibitionistas. Look at her (it is not easy without goosebumps), the dead eyes, fake grin, horrible! These kind of shows should be cancelled immediately, all of them, it is the lowest of the low, and people should think fora change what they are doing: staring at other peoples lifes, as staged as much of this stuff is, judging and gossiping about it...both, people on the shows and their audiences, may it be about pregnant girls, wedding shows, ugly people, fat people, it is all exhibitionism and no replacement for real life. Ignore this crap, watch some good movies and shows (yes, there are some) and care for the humns around you in your life, family, people next door or those in need. If you need to do such kind of shows, may yu have money or not, you are nothing than a pathetic loser, and if you need to watch it...think about it, go out and LIVE, not exist thru them.
She is a witch, and looks like a freak, my sympathies to the people who cared for him.
My heart felt condolences go out to this woman and definitely the children. I know how you feel and please do not blame yourselves for this mans death it is not your fault. Also seek help now and talk it through with those that understand. There are wonderful online blogs for people to talk with others who will feel your pain and fully understand this kind of death.
