"We're getting ready for the #VMAs, are you? @edsheeran," the 24-year-old captioned a picture via Twitter. Swift went makeup-free for the photo-op and wore her white robe before slipping into her red carpet outfit. Sheeran, 23, seemed amused sitting in a chair as his "Everything Has Changed" collaborator pretended to rosy up his cheeks with a blush brush.
Swift also relaxed before the live show with her cat Olivia. "These are our #VMAs game faces," she joked. In a sweet pic, Swift and her feline looked blankly into the camera.
Earlier in the day, Swift appeared to have a last-minute fitting. The star -- set to perform her new hit "Shake It Up" tonight -- showed off her sparkly silver microphone that she will be using on stage and a glimpse at her silver heels!
"To be prepared for my #VMAs performance, I will need this," she wrote. Down the center, "1989" was written in black beads. The year is a nod to the title of her upcoming album, which she announced during a special Yahoo livestream on Aug. 18. The new music, which will hit stores Oct. 27, was "a rebirth" for the star. She also added that it will be her "first documented official pop album."
