Back to reality life. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who was released from federal prison on Wednesday, December 23, was surrounded by cameras as she returned home to her husband, Joe Giudice, and their daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana. The moment will be documented on TV by Bravo, Us Weekly can reveal.
After an 11-month stint behind bars, Giudice, 43, was released from the Danbury, Connecticut, facility early Wednesday morning. Joining the mom of four during her journey home were network cameras. It remains unclear whether the footage of Giudice checking out and her subsequent homecoming will be used for the upcoming season of RHONJ or a separate special. Bravo had no comment on Wednesday.
As Us previously revealed, the formerly incarcerated reality star will celebrate her freedom and Christmas Eve with her family members, including her brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law, fellow Housewife Melissa Gorga. Sources tell Us that the Italian brood's traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes will be held at the Gorga mansion in Montville, New Jersey.
"It’s a blessing that everyone will be able to be together," Melissa, 36, tells Us.
A source told Us that the star was anxiously preparing for her release from prison — and her joyful reunion with her family. “Teresa is counting down the minutes,” the insider told Us at the time. “She’s still working out, reading and praying … but she can’t wait to get back in her own kitchen, bed and closet! She’s more anxious now than ever.”
The entire Giudice family will be together over the holidays and through March, when Joe will check into prison for his 41-month sentence. He will be joining another Housewives husband, Atlanta's Apollo Nida (the estranged husband of Phaedra Parks), who is already serving eight years at the prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
