And se deserved an oscar...why? She certainly has horeshoes up her butt as she is not a good actress (not even mediocre), has a horrible voice and not a great dancer (okay maybe the horizontal chacha)! She has a big butt and has slept her way around and to the top!Where on earth does she get this sense of entitlement attitude???

sings like a cat in heat, and her acting, subpar. people nowadays are famous for having big butts or being in sex videos. no talent is required. what amazes me is that they still believe in their narcissistic little brains that they deserve credit. they should be grateful they talentless lives are being sustained by sheepish people who make clowns their idols.

The same exact act by a Black actor would have been nominated and won. It's the way Hollywood works: bias, bigotry, and politics. Latinos do not mean much to Hollywoodians. Many awards have gone to to many who did not deserved it. Many, like, Spieldberg, Scorsece, Eastwood, Paltrow, Danzel, just to name a few.

oh, and BTW, the statement released that she "intended" to fall on her great big butt on national live TV . . . do she really think anyone is gonna buy that! She has no talent and her 15 minutes are up. NEXT!

She thinks she deserves an Oscar? I thought Oscars were for people who could act?!?!

Dear J-Lo. As a fellow Nuyorican from the same neighborhood, I have been very proud of your acheivements. However, although your pocket book and bank accounts have grown, you've done very little to develop your intelect. I've got to tell you, it's very embarrassing for the rest of us N.Y. Latinas, how you carry on with this high and mighty assesment of yourself. Your bank book balance is not your I.Q. score and it shows. A little humility goes a long way pendeja.

Although I thought the movie was mildly interesting, I don't believe Jennifer was great in the role. She did an acceptable job, but truly not Oscar-worthy at all. And I believe THAT is the real reason she was not considered for a nomination.

I liked El Cantante a lot. In fact, I've seen it many times and have it at home. And I will probably see it again at some point. Jenniferâ??s acting wasnâ??t that bad. There were some scenes, though, that could have been re-done or left out, but, for the most part, her performance was believable to me. On the other hand, I honestly donâ??t feel that it was an Oscar winning performance. Iâ??ve thought it before, but Iâ??d like to see her in a role that has a â??meatyâ?? storyline, a seriously good script of quality and substance, something on the serious side where sheâ??s not all dolled up for the cameras. If she were to take this â??adviceâ?? into consideration, especially by choosing a good script and leaving all the Mickey Mouse ones alone, perhaps one day her performance could be Oscar worthy.

The only Oscar she'll ever get is an Oscar Meyer Weiner. Looks like she's had a lot of those.

Her "music", if u can call it that, is horrible. Well, at least that one song, My Love don't cost a thing" song is. That's the only one I've ever heard of hers, and if it comes on the radio, my husband and I groan and quicklyturn it OFF.

I have to agree with Jennifer! Unfortunately, a movie a performance doesn't make. Her performance was excellent. She nailed it, and she know it - that's all folks! Get over it.

  • January 06, 2010 - 11:52am Tessa

Now THAT........is FUNNY......and I suppose she thought she looked hot in that RUBBER body suit she had on New Year's Eve. That butt of hers could destroy New Jersey!!! Somebody needs the guts to tell this lady the TRUTH!!!!!

  • January 06, 2010 - 11:26am ny

I cannot stand Jennifer Lopez. Get the @$#% over yourself. No one thinks you can sing OR act, so just quit while you're ahead. And, by the way, just b/c you did an Olympic distance triathlon does NOT make you either a triathlete or an athlete. You're still a nobody. Got it B@#$^?

  • January 06, 2010 - 11:19am Sharon

I saw a few scenes and while she wasn't God awful, I also didn't watch all the way through so what does that tell you? Sorry but you're not as hot as you think you are.

  • January 06, 2010 - 11:10am Yeah Right!

She is too self Absorbed! She was completely over-acting in that film. One couldn't even get a feel for who the character was because it was like Jlo was playing herself. If anyone deserved a nod it was Marc Anthony who actually did a great job. SHe needs to stop thinking she is the queen of sheeba!!

Sometimes you can tell by an interview that a celebrity has a good personality. You can tell she is very funny by saying she deserved an Oscar. She should do stand up.
