Taking it a day at a time. Yolanda Foster made her first public appearance since news of her split from husband David Foster broke on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
Walking the red carpet at Hollywood’s W Hotel, where the reality star attended the season 6 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Foster admitted life was tough.
But putting a positive spin on her current situation, the 51-year-old revealed to Us Weekly that, from a health perspective at least, her life was a lot rosier than it was a year ago.
“I’m doing a lot better than I was last November, I’ve been in bed for exactly a year — I spend most of my days in bed, so I’m happy to be dressed tonight,” she told Us. “I’m wearing a little make up. I got my hair done today just to make those girls happy, and I’m grateful to have a job.”
While eager to look on the bright side of her newly single situation, the actress, who looked stunning in white, with very little makeup, did admit her breakup was a challenge for her. “I hope to be moving forward to a brighter future and I’m just trying to get through it one day at a time,” she told Us.
As previously reported, Foster (mom to Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid) announced news of her divorce via a joint statement with her ex David three days ago.
“We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best,” the couple told Us. “I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”
And as she moves forward into her newly single life, Yolanda told Us she’s grateful to have the support of her kids every step of the way.
“I guess that’s my only forever,” the former model said.
