Zac Efron is in need of some major TLC. The handsome, hunky actor, 25, has broken his jaw following a nasty fall at home, and his mouth has been wired shut, Us Weekly confirms. Over the weekend, the Parkland star slipped on a puddle of water at the entrance of his L.A. home, suffering not just a broken jaw, but a gash that required stitches.
Thankfully, Efron is expected to make a full recovery, but promotional plans for bromantic comedy That Awkward Moment (out in January) are now up in the air. Us spoke with his costar in that flick, Michael B. Jordan, at an event in NYC on Tuesday following the mishap. "I spoke to him," Jordan, 26, told Us. " I texted him. He's good. He's as good as can be. He'll be OK!"
It's been an eventful year for the High School Musical alum, who has been focusing on his health and career following a very quiet rehab stay back in the spring for substance abuse problems.
"He's had to go from being a party boy to being completely sober," one pal told Us back in September. "It's going to take time, but he's handling it well."
(E! News broke the story of Efron's injury on Tuesday, Nov. 12.)
