Angelina Jolie Checked Animal's Welfare Before Wearing $5,000 Horsehair Bag

Angelina Jolie is clearly an animal lover!
Before the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador, 34, stepped out with her new Akris ecru horsehair bag -- which retails for just less than $5,000 -- she asked her stylist to call and make sure that no horses had been harmed in the making of the accessory.

"We told her horses get haircuts just like we do," Akris designer Albert Kriemler told Women's Wear Daily.

Kriemler added that the bag by the Swiss-based luxury brand is made with hair from horses' tails.

The answer must have been good enough for Jolie, who sported the bag while shopping in Venice, Italy, on Saturday with kids Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, and Shiloh, 3.

Way to go Angie. I think Jen deserved to lose Brad and as did Sandra deserve to lose Jesse. They are both boring and women a like Angelina and Michell McGee can offer so much more (especially in bed). It's a false truth that they weren't harmed. They weren't harmed...they were killed. Those horse tails come from the slaughter plants in Mexico and Canada and it's not exactly hard to find that out if you care to. She's a moron through and through.
yes, but doesn't a horse's mane and tail grow back incredibly slowly? the tail would be of concern to me, as i cannot imagine a horse without a tail. how to bat away flies? at anyr ate, it was conscientious of her to check. also, shiloh is of no concern. an over-sexed child or one that is too feminine at too young an age--bikinis, makeup, nail polish, one who is complimented consistently on her appearance or her clothes rather than what she can actually do or what she has learned in school that day--is of concern. not if those things are just once in a while, of course, a child is not automatically oversexed if she puts nail polish on, the key is moderation. there's a lot of gray. but the beauty pageant little girls of the world, that is what should concern people. shiloh seems like a pretty normal little girl in the pictures that we see of her. and to say that shiloh's clothes or hair now has anything to do with her sexuality is laughable. i'm a pretty secure, successful, comfortable in my feminine skin woman and i definitely went through phases, especially before puberty, of being more or less "girly." calm down, people, and stop being so homophobic.
Jolie must never have read Dr. Max Luscher's The Color Test. Black is the last color I'd put on a kid.

ANN it is awesome how you changed your life, that is what I admire so much about Angelina. We all have something we regret and we all grow up and mature. Sad some ignorant people do not understand that. I love Angelina!!!

WOW!! Heres my past..I stole others boyfriends,I drank,I did drugs,I partied with "rock star" I had a baby at 17..Move ahead 20 years I am married I have a 22 year old & 7 year old.I am a teacher. (I won teacher of the year 5 times) and I would be PROUD to tell any of my students how my life has changed for the better. So unless you have lived the "pure" life. I saw this beautiful family in new orleans @ a park near my house. They are a sweet loving family with great kids AND no bodyguards or photgraphers around it was very nice to see them playing with the kids while they ate mcdonalds. They blended in and you could not tell that anyone famous was around. Some people on here are so damn negitive. How hurtful to those kids when they grow up and see what people write about their mom & dad!
