Angelina Jolie's Wedding Veil Featured Colorful Designs Drawn By Jolie-Pitt Kids: First PIcture!
Stunning! Angelina Jolie looked breathtaking in her unique wedding gown at her secret nuptials to Brad Pitt on Aug. 23 in France. The actress and humanitarian donned an ivory satin sleeveless gown and a veil featuring embroidered versions of illustrations that were drawn by her children.
In the first photos, on the new cover of the UK’s HELLO! magazine, the happy bride affectionately kisses her now-husband Pitt.
"We are delighted and honored to be able to share these captivating photos of Brad and Angelina on their wedding day with their children and other close family members and friends in attendance," HELLO!'s editor-in-chief Eduardo Sanchez Perez said of the sought-after images. "We wish them all the very best for the future.”
"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," Brad and Angelina told the mag.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, the couple wed in a small intimate ceremony in a chapel in Chateau Miraval in France. “It was a non-denominational civil ceremony," a spokesperson for the couple told Us in a statement. "It was very much a family affair."
A family affair indeed. Not only did Jolie’s veil feature artwork drawn by kids Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, the children were also active in the nuptials.
Jolie walked down the aisle with Maddox and Pax, while Zahara and Vivienne "threw petals, gathered from the garden," the spokesperson previously told Us. "Shiloh and Knox were the ring bearers."
Prior to exchanging vows, the duo obtained a marriage license from a California judge. The couple confirmed their engagement back in April 2012.
Pitt was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005 while Jolie was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
