Gorgeous in green!
If the debate as to whether or not you should match your eye makeup to your outfit is still ongoing, Jaime King put the matter to rest when showed up at InStyle's Dinner With A Designer in West Hollywood Tuesday night.
At the event, which was held in honor of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, King sported a jewel-toned eye shadow that channeled the emerald detail in her Versace dress. She paired the side-baring green and black number with Lanvin shoes and Neil Lane jewelry.
When asked about her bright makeup, the 32-year-old actress told InStyle, "The whole thing is just eye liner, which is a bold move. People are afraid to do it, but you've just got to go for it. I wanted to hit the trend of jewel tones."
To copy her colorful look at home, choose a chubby eyeliner crayon like SEPHORA Collection Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof Eyeliner in Green ($10, sephora.com) -- the liner's consistency is smooth enough to blend out like an eye shadow. Start by drawing a thick line along your upper lashes and use either your fingers or an eye shadow brush to blend the pigment up and outward over your lid.
Lastly, load your lashes up with mascara (try Maybelline New York Volum' Express One-by-One Mascara, $5.48; walmart.com) and opt for a nude lip (try Maybelline New York Color Sensational High Shine Lipstick in Nude Glow, $5.29; target.com).
