Beyonce to Debut First Fragrance

Beyonce is set to unveil her first fragrance, "Beyonce Heat," in February, under the Coty beauty line.

Featuring top notes of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach, the singer calls her new signature scent "modern yet timeless."

Beyonce says the entire project -- her first foray into the fragrance biz -- was a labor of love.

"Everything, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials —- that's me," the 28-year-old tells Women's Wear Daily.

"When I commit to something, I do it 100 percent, and I've never had [creative control over a fragrance] until this project," she said. "I wasn't worried about deadlines. It could have taken me three, four, however many years -- this was my first fragrance, and I wanted to make sure that it was something I would love forever."

Beyonce's Heat line includes three sizes of eau de parfum and a gold sparkling body lotion.

The fragrance will become available just weeks after Beyonce will vie for 10 Grammy Awards at the Jan. 31 ceremony. Her nominations -- the most of any artist this year -- include album of the year for her double CD, I Am ... Sasha Fierce. She was also nominated twice for song of the year -- for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" and for "Halo."
