Carrie Underwood will wed her Ottawa Senators hockey beau Mike Fisher in a luxe ceremony this weekend.

The two will walk down the aisle Saturday, July 10, in Georgia.
After about a year of dating, Fisher, 30, popped the question last December with a 12-carat ring worth about $800,000. "We're both obviously excited and very happy," Fisher said shortly after.

Underwood, 27, hired a wedding planner, but also ironed out many of the details herself.
"I bought a lot of magazines and am cutting out pictures," she told UsMagazine.com in January. "I have a folder and I cut out pictures and glue them in. It’s in kind of a binder thing."
Her dream dress is "pretty traditional, maybe with flowers on it -- not like real flowers!" she joked to Us.

Though she was envisioning a small ceremony, "I don't see that happening," she admitted. "There are so many people. He has a huge family; they’re all really close. My family is big, but we're not that tight-knit. His is about three times the size of mine."
Fisher was tasked with coordinating the honeymoon.

"[Planning] that was Mike's project," she said at the CMA Fest last month. "It's a surprise. I have no clue where we are going, which is nice. I know it will be warm, that's about it."

I am amazed at why people even read articles about people they do not like. I don't think the true fans were the ones blocked from her wedding I think it was the money hunger photo hungry people they were trying to keep out. As a true fan I would love to see photos but I would want it to be photos that the couple allowed not those stolen by any means they could get them. I fell they deserve to have some privacy they are famous but humans. By the way my husband and I were married 11 months after our first date and we have been for over 10 years.

Mike is clearly out of her league. He might of just signed a 21mill contract for 6 years but carrie made over 18 mill last year alone. Who knows what 2010 will bring her. People are starving in the world and this "down home country" girl has a million dollar wedding
Carrie is a snob. In 5 years, she has forgotten her roots. Its all about money and fame. She marries a guy she hardly knows and I think its because shes drawn in by his religious beliefs. I sure hope that sustains this marriage

for a country girl 1.5 mil for a wedding is a little over the top and to have people thrown out of this resort for her wedding just plain stupid. She is popular but not the president of the US. She claims to be down home but her throwing money around sure doesnt seem like it but again, its her fans money, thats where it came from.
There's no way they will stay married with both of them living completely different lifestyles and being apart so much. Faith and Tim make sure they never spend more than three days apart. I think that's a good idea. Hockey players are notorious cheaters!

Carrie is NOT a snot face. I've met her. I'm sure the hotel guests understood once they were told what was going on and were very well taken care of. Congrats Carrie & Mike. A lifetime of happiness!!

Wow, for someone who claims to be such a "simple" girl, this is going to be one ostentatious, showy, diva-like spectacle. She had all the waterways in the area closed, and flew in by helicopter. But by far the most absurd example of her arrogant behavior is that she had all the non-wedding guests sent letter by the hotel that they had to be OFF THE PROPERTY by no later than 12 noon. Because we all know the world stops for this princess.
I give it two years, max. He's gonna cheat on her (if he hasn't already), and who could blame him? I've met Carrie before and she is a TOTAL snob. walks around with her nose in the air like she is god's gift to the music world. Umm, you were discovered on a reality show, get over yourself.
