All that glitters indeed! Sean Lowe proposed to finalist Catherine Giudici on The Bachelor‘s March 11 finale, presenting the Seattle graphic designer with a stunning Neil Lane engagement sparkler when choosing her over second-place finisher Lindsay Yenter, and when it came time for Giudici’s big moment in front of millions of TV viewers, she sure looked the part.

Accepting Texas entrepreneur Lowe’s proposal in Thailand, Giudice chose a show-stopping gold gown from David Meister. “I knew from the beginning that you were someone I wanted to be around,” Lowe, 29, told a stunned Giudici, who made jaws drop in Meister’s metallic knit one-shoulder evening gown. “I just had no idea my feelings would turn into what they did. I think the world of you and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye. I miss you. I don’t want to say goodbye anymore.”

“This is the coolest day of my life!” Giudici gushed after she and Lowe rode off into the jungle on an elephant at sunset. (Shortly after the finale aired, Giudici posted a pic of her engagement sparkler — a cushion-cut diamond with a diamond encrusted band — on her Instagram page.)

Not to be outdone, runner-up Yenter — who went into the finale firmly believing she would be the one accepting Lowe’s proposal — turned heads in Thailand wearing a metallic Meister creation. For the finale, the petite substitute teacher wowed in a silver lame racer back gown with beaded accents on the shoulders.

The North Carolina native’s last Bachelor look was a sharp contrast to the first outfit she wore to woo Lowe: A wedding dress! Though her chemistry with Lowe proved evident later in the season, Yenter, 24, didn’t quite mesh with the leading man on the show’s premiere. “My first instinct was to run,” he told Us in January, adding that he believed Yenter was “crazy” when she stepped out of the limo in bridal attire. “I thought, This girl is nuts!”
