How We Met: We met at a Jimmy Buffet concert in September of 2007. Josh was home for two weeks on leave from Iraq and Pamela’s father invited him to the concert. Both of Pamela's parents had known Josh for years, but Pamela had never met him. We had an instant connection and made it work long distance ever since.
Our Dream Wedding: Our dream wedding is timeless and classic. It should be very romantic and intimate with thousands of pink and cream flowers and candlelight. However, the most important part is that our family and friends have an amazing time and leave our wedding saying “wow!”
Obstacles We Overcame: For the first two and a half years of our relationship, I, Josh, was either in Iraq or stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, while Pamela was in Massachusetts. I also have a disabled 11-year-old stepson, Connor, who has a condition called septo-optic dysplasia. Connor is blind, cannot walk and can only say a few words. He has the learning capacity of a 2-year-old, is on several medications and needs constant care. Pamela now says that she cannot imagine her life without Connor.
Our Favorite Celeb Wedding: Our favorite celebrity wedding is Jessica Simpson and Nick Lacey’s, despite the fact that the relationship didn’t last. Their wedding was romantic and elegant and their color choices were perfect.
Why You Should Pick Us: We’ve been through so much and deserve to have one special day that is magical. With our finances we cannot afford the wedding of our dreams, but standing up to say our vows in front of our friends and family is the most important thing to us, no matter how we do it.
