Claire Danes sported a ruffled, tiered dress in multiple tones of green in Versailles, France July 7 -- and no one's a fan of the look.

UsMagazine.com took its cameras to the streets of midtown Manhattan, where passersby offered their own Fashion Police quips for Danes' disaster.
"Too many ruffles, too many distracting colors," snipes one on-the-street critic.

she looks gorgeous. she's a risk-taker & has a personal point-of-view (i.e. is not doing it simply to be outrageous or for attention). similar to Zoe Saldana's shades-of-purple oscar dress, i think it's gorgeous. i sometimes wonder if the rank-and-file have no taste & don't recognize a beautiful dress, worn perfectly, when they see it. the 'gofugyourselves' of the world have way too much voice, & way too little taste or room for valid personal expression.
Claire Danes looks ravishing in the dress! I have seen Claire dress better, but this dress complements her skin-tone and it is unique. I think she is pulling it off while many couldn't (including the women featured in the video).
It isn't my favorite dress ever, but I think it looks great on her. The colors would look awful on me, but I think they compliment her skin tone nicely!! And as far as hiding her figure... NO WAY!! The ruffles accentuate the breast and hips while the waist is nipped in. I think she looks fabulous!!

You women commenting on the video need to take a really long look in the mirror before commenting on Claire's dress....You all look like trailer trash....with greasy hair and nasty tank tops on ......I think Claire looked fine....she was breaking out of the usual boring black dress thing....props to her....
