Spring may be arriving, but winter is coming!
With wigs ditched, corsets untied, and dragons left at home, the women of Game of Thrones looked glamorous — and, dare we say, unrecognizable from their HBO characters — on the red carpet in New York City on March 18.
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) looked regal in a black belted Donna Karan dress with a halter neckline. Ditching her long braided blonde hair from the show, the mother of dragons styled her naturally brunette locks in old Hollywood waves and wore a plum lip.
While Clarke went dark, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) opted for a white sleeveless dress with ruffled detail on the skirt. She parted her shoulder-length brown hair in the middle with loose waves and wore neutral makeup.
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) wore a black Jenny Packham dress (a favorite of the real life princess, Kate Middleton!) with a belted waist and full skirt with Brian Atwood heels. She contrasted the femininity of the gown with an edgy hairstyle for her short brunette bob and kept her makeup minimal.
Gwendoline Christie (the knight-ish Brienne of Tarth) thankfully got to show off her slender figure (without any bulky armor weighing her down) in a white and black Giles dress. Her short blonde bob was styled with a deep side part and otherwise left untouched. Her sultry smoky eye played up her blue eyes and added drama.
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) looked playful in a short Peter Pilotto dress with a tiered skirt and v-neckline. She swept her long, red hair over one shoulder and added a gray smoky eye for a touch of glam.
Jon Snow may know nothing, but Rose Leslie (Ygritte) definitely knows a thing or two about pulling together an elegant look. She wore a white short-sleeved gown with beading on the bodice. Her gorgeous red hair was styled in soft waves, but the best part was the bright red lip color, which pulled together her look seamlessly.
