The only thing as good as HBO's stunning drama Mildred Pierce? The tresses of its leading lady, Kate Winslet, at the premiere! The appearance marked Winslet's first red carpet appearance with her new close crop. But nothing about this look was short on glamour! Her hair pro, Renato Campora, tells UsMagazine.com how he created the look.
To prep the hair, Campora mixed mousse and serum for flexible hold. Then, he rough-dried locks with his hands, curling the ends up. Once her hair was dry, he wrapped sections on heated metal rods to create pin curls and let them set for 15 minutes. Next, Campora loosened waves with his fingers. Finally, he boosted body with dry shampoo, then used bobby pins to mold Winslet's dramatic, retro-inspired 'do into place and set with hairspray.
