I Can't Believe We Won!

To this moment, I can't believe we were chosen!

To even be in the Top 10...wow! Our story must have stood out, although all the other stories were so good. It's unbelievable. I'm excited. We had no idea that we would win.

Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com brought us up to New York for the night, saying they were interviewing the finalists. We checked into the W Hotel Union Square (gorgeous -- one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in), and I tried on a bunch of outfits while Eric told me what looked good and what didn't. Then we went to sleep. The next morning, we figured we'd do a quick interview, so I brought all the love letters Eric and I wrote each other while he was stationed in Iraq as an Army National Guardsman.

When we were brought downstairs in the lobby, there were all these people: a television crew from Inside Edition, Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com editors. Then they told us we won! I couldn't believe it!

I can't wait to tell my family and friends. I'm going to be on the phone non-stop. It doesn't feel real! It won't feel real until the day of. I can't even fathom a $100,000 wedding until I see it. We were planning our own wedding with a much smaller budget, and we can't even imagine what our wedding will look like now.
