It Was Hard to Pick a Wedding Ring

Eric and I went to Michael C. Fina where we were given our choice of Tacori wedding bands. (Ellen Pompeo is a fan.) It was hard for me to make a decision because all the options were beautiful. I showed Jackie, the associate from Michael C. Fina, my round cut, bead-set engagement ring. She suggested a platinum band with .32-carats of pave-set diamonds on the top and on each side would be the best match. We put it against my engagement ring and it was a no-brainer that this was the band for me! It retails for $2,830. Eric was looking for something on the traditional side. Keeping in mind that this ring would be worn for the rest of our lives, he wanted a ring that would look great now as well as when we're both 85 years old. After trying on several rings, he went with a platinum band that has a milligrain texture all around worth $2,670. It looks traditional, but still has the intricate detail work that Tacori is known for. I can't wait for us to exchange these gorgeous rings on our wedding day! This looks like another ad. These stories don't really make sense and sound really fake.
I don't get this story. Why is US posting a story that's in the first person and who is it about?
