A month after announcing their holiday engagement, Tristan Prettyman, 28, debuted her by-the-numbers engagement ring.
Jason Mraz, who is a self-described "numbers guy," designed the ring with the digits 23 (the day of Mraz's and Prettyman's birthdays plus a slew of other similarities) and 11:11, a time when Mraz always makes a wish, in mind.
The brilliant cut main stone is surrounded by stones on each side, Mraz told UsMagazine.com at the Elton John Concert to Benefit American Foundation for Equal Rights in Beverly Hills on January 19.
"The section surrounding the main diamond is laid out with 11 on one side and 11 on the other. This way, it's always 11:11. The stone on top, that which symbolizes our coming together as one, makes 23. The carat weight? What else: 2.3," Mraz, 33, wrote on his blog.
The Shy That Way singers told Us that it may be a while before they walk down the aisle. "We can't get married until [gay] marriage is legal and equal…I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights," Mraz said.
