Kara DioGuardi Changing Her Look on 'Idol'

New season, new look for American Idol's Kara DioGuardi.
"I'm not sure I liked all my hairstyles or my makeup or my clothes [last season] -- I'd look at it and go, 'Oh my God,'" the judge, 39, tells the New York Post.

Continues DioGuardi, "Part of it is that I'm somebody who doesn't wear a lot of makeup or do a lot with my hair... so it was hard to see myself all dolled up.
"At times [last season] it was funny to see me with that curly hair and [wearing] a pretty dress. When I look at myself, I'd like not to have hair on the top of the ceiling," she goes on.

As for what she'll wear this year, DioGuardi says she's "still experimenting and still getting it together... I'm definitely trying to go more to a natural style, more rock-glam -- just something that feels more like me."

But the singer/songwriter doesn't want her style to be the main focus of the ninth season.
"I'm certainly not making a big deal out of it,” she says. "It can't be about hair and makeup -- it's about the kids."

I know she sucks and she has a horse mouth she is annoying and doesn't have a heart where did she comes from no one knows about her and to me she shouldn't be on this show she is very picky and not a good judge sometimes Simon is nicer then her.

Neh, I don't really care too much for Kara. I miss Paula. Sure she was kinda loony, but hey, her, Randy, and Simon were like, some sort of trio.
I love Kara though! She's cool and sensible in her own ways. Her judement is always balanced, except those who didn't accept the reality. I don't understand why you guys pass judgement on her like that. Anyway, she's still my idol and she rocks the world! Be positive guys!

Wish I could say something positive. But when it comes to this woman she simply grates on my nerves. When she speaks I want to put my T.V. on mute.
so who cares what she wears or looks like it isn't about her, never heard of her before Idol,, Paula got thrown under the bus because they believe she was involved with the Young contestant a few years ago and had to wait till her contract came up to dump her.. without Simon it will end anyway, Ellen is good but no one can replace Simon..
What is she trying to do, look like Ellen? What star doesn't dress differently for events and roles such as this. I miss Paula.

I like Kara. She's more thoughtful and honest than Paula. Paula was a ditz! Good riddence.
Actually, I like Paula. But sometimes I don't understand what she was talking about. Most of the time she was like in a heavy dose of medication or something like that. Kara, to tell the truth, I don't even remember how she looked like on previous AI session. Sorry!! And I didn't watch last Tuesday& Wednesday and won't watch either next week.
Everything she said is a contradiction. You can't be natural and rocker chick at the same time. During the auditions, she had more makeup on than she did last season. She looked great though.
Can't stand her. Won't watch AI again. The way they treated Paula when she was negotiating her contract was unprofessional and a slap in her face. Simon's leaving will be the nail in the coffin. They really messed up letting Paula go.
It is all her fault that Paula left and now Simon. Guess Randy will leave next season. American Idol is no longer entertaining without Simon and Paula!
