Time flies! Kate Beckinsale is among the ranks of parents all around the country who are sending their kids back to school. In a sweet Instagram on Monday, August 29, the Love & Friendship actress proudly posted a photo of her stunning daughter, Lily Sheen, who’s growing up right before our eyes.
“First first day of school/last first day of school. Love you so much @lily_beckinsale ❤️❤️❤️,” Beckinsale captioned along with a side-by-side, now-and-then shot of her only child with ex-partner Michael Sheen. In the flashback shot, young Lily, now 17, cheeses for the camera in a short-sleeve white polo shirt underneath a baby-blue pleated jumper, lacy ankle socks, Velcro-strap sneakers and a bright blue backpack. And we can’t forget to mention her center-parted pigtails, decorated with bows.
This time around, Lily, who’s apparently a high school senior, went with a black-and-white graphic T-shirt tucked into a pair of black skinny jeans. And just like on her very first day of school, she accessorized with a backpack. She also kept her center part, wearing her brunette locks loose and straight.
Beckinsale, 43, loves sharing pictures of her pride and joy. On Thursday, August 25, she threw it back to a sweet shot of her and her mini-me dressed in matching leather catsuits, presumably for her 2003 film Underworld.
“In England we like to start ass whooping training as early as possible,” she wrote.
And in May, Beckinsale commissioned Michael, 47, to re-create Lily’s birth photo. With her ex hovering above her wearing a proud smile, the Van Helsing actress held Lily in her arms, who pretended to be asleep. “Always a baby to me,” she captioned.
