Besides a growing baby bump, Kate Hudson has something else to show off -- her jaw-dropping engagement ring!
The 32-year-old Something Borrowed star confirmed her engagement to Muse rocker Matthew Bellamy when Matt Lauer of the Today Show pointed out the eye-catching bauble during an interview Wednesday. "I haven't really announced it, I was waiting for someone to notice," Hudson said.

Indeed, the rock now seems impossible to miss! Jewelry expert Michael O'Connor tells Us Weekly that Hudson's platinum-set ring with an emerald-cut diamond and tapered baguettes on the side is approximately nine carats and has an estimated value of a whopping $200,000.
"While Kate is known for her boho chic style and fun personality, this type of engagement ring style is classic and timeless,” O'Connor tells Us. "The emerald cut stones are typically top quality. They're usually set in platinum because it's a naturally white metal and won't cast any color onto the diamond."

The Oscar-nominated actress spilled that the "very romantic" proposal went down about a week ago in NYC. Hudson and Bellamy, 32, have been together since late spring 2010 and are expecting their first child in a couple of months.
No word on when or where the couple will wed.

4That's a beautiful ring, but I could've sworn she said that she did NOT want to get married!!! She was very adamant about it.
LOLOL Where in the world have YOU been, Elizabeth? How have you NOT heard of Muse?!?!
For someone in a band that no one has ever heard of, I seriously doubt he can shell out $200k for a stupid ring. Most likely, she bought it herself or it's a fake, and if it is, ain't NOTHIN' wrong with that. I have a gorgeous $500 3-ct. pear-shaped cubic zirconia engagement ring that looks exactly like Katherine Heigl's and though my fiance wanted to buy me a diamond. I said no way because a) I lose everything and b) I thought it was more practical to put that money toward a house and c) diamonds are a scam to begin with. These vain celebrities don't have money problems like regular people and it's sad that they need material things to express their feelings. And I think it's even sadder that rags like US promote this nonsense of expensive rings every chance they get, like the majority of us even care about the price. Hell, if you want a gorgeous inexpensive engagement ring like mine, look at this site:http://shop.carat.co/product.web.ViewProducts.do?st=web.search.title&field0=pcs.productCategoryId&key0=20&field0_compare=&orderBy=pd.finalPrice,pd.postTime,pd.lastUpdatedTime&sortDirectionStr=1,-1,-1&startingPos=99&pageSize=9&antiCache=1302955620696FE1A75D4E5DEBA37ADD704C9D463D141
Wow. They could feed a lot of hungry people for that amount.
