The people's princess!
Duchess Kate is royalty now, but that doesn't mean she's given up her thrifty ways! When blogger Ashlin of GetWhatKateWore.com saw Kate shopping at Topshop in London Monday, she learned that the 29-year-old royal has a wallet full of rewards cards!

"I saw all her rewards cards [to accumulate points at stores] she carries. She had to shift through them to find her Visa card," Ashlin said.

She also noted that the Duchess went into the fitting rooms at the store and tried on clothes just like everyone else.

So what did Kate walk away with? "A [$130] blue blazer with black lining... [and] a [$76] polka dot skirt. She also bought a pair of earrings."
But what amazed Ashlin most about Kate wasn't her regular girl shopping style, it was her impeccable hair! "It seemed like she was trying to hide behind her long, thick hair," the GetWhatKateWore.com blogger said. "Mind you, her hair was immaculately done. You must see Kate's hair in person. It is beyond perfect!"

16well at least she's just like us . using reward cards
She beautiful,as always
Amanda Hewitt, your criticism is a bit silly. How much do you suggest that the Duchess of Cambridge, the future queen of England, spend on a jacket? We are not Kate; consequently, most of us cannot spend as much as she does. That in no way makes in ridiculous. It fits the occasion, that being that she is, again, the Duchess of Cambridge. She's beautiful and classy and is a normal person.
She is too skinny and also, she doesn't look very healthy
@Amanda - I grew up where my jeans, on sale, were around $50 a pair, and it wasn't uncommon to see shirts at the same price. The point they're making in THIS article is that Kate could easily be wearing custom-made Balenciaga, but instead she chose to shop at a regular store. This isn't comparing what she can afford to what us "regular people" can afford. She carries herself so well, but needs to put a LITTLE of her weight back on in my opinion.
awesome explanation Anna!
I found a site where you can get coupons for restaurant called "Printapons" they are on all over the news, search online
I really don't think this is an attempt to be one with the masses....Kate is a real girl..real girls, rich girls al like a good deal...end of story!
You have to remember, Amanda, the $ amount was translated from pound which takes more $ to make a pound so it makes everything bought from London translated into dollars alot more expensive to American. The price in pound was actually 38 for the skirt and 65 for the blazer, pretty reasonably if think in terms of the living standard over there. But, if you really want to make your case still in how expensive these items are, then go to China, and translate the US currency into Yuan, or go further south of China, say Vietnam, and translate US dollars in Dong. Those people would have a heartattack on how much you've spent on your weekly expenses, that's a third of their yearly salary when they can eat out (good meal) for a family of four and only spend $2.

Probably spoken by someone who lives in the USA. Kate lives in London England, it's not cheap there. School pictures in Manitoba Canada are $65.00 kids. Groceries for a week will set you back about $130.00 for 3 people if you are frugal. Think outside the box Amanda, not everyone pays the same price for items.
She is so feminine and so classy. Love her.
yes kate is a classy woman, and has impeccable taste, yet i wonder who really considers a $130 blazer and a $76 skirt a thrift bargain, or that it is "super money savvy" maybe it's because i was raised in a world where the amount of money spent on those 2 items alone would cover food for an entire week for my family, gas for the car, and a couple school outfits for the kids, oh and cover the cost of school pictures. Yes i am a very frugal person and i make my money stretch, i just think spending $206 on two clothing items is ridiculous
Princess Kate carries herself beautifully simple with elegance fresh and new wholesome yet real. Prince William and Princess Kate are a pure example of new royality.
The website in this story is down! Ugh.
It nice to see Princess Kate, tell shopping like everyday persons.
