Katy Perry is making light of her recently-scrapped Sesame Street skit.

On Saturday Night Live, she wore a very low-cut Elmo top in a sketch, playing a 16-year old library volunteer, Maureen DiChico, who appears on a mock daytime talk show, Bronx Beat, hosted by Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph.

The talk show hosts make a big deal about how big the girl's chest has gotten since the last time they saw her.

"Kaboom!" one says. The other adds, "Look at Elmo's head -- it's all stretched out!"

Amused by their remarks, Perry's character then starts to bounce up and down on the sofa.

Her character then tells the ladies that she has been ordered to wear looser-fitting duds when she reads to children at the library.

One host snips, "Who cares if kids are looking at boobs - boobs feed babies, alright?"

Perry's upcoming appearance on Sesame Street was cut last week after parents complained about her cleavage-baring top.

Later, her fiance Russell Brand jokingly Tweeted, "Today's Sesame Street will NOT be brought to you by the number 34 or the letter D."

Im sorry but I dont see any thing wrong with it! There are cartoon characters, take Betty Boop for instance, who wear shirts/dresses that show their cleavage!! Kids do not think that way! And Katy Perry doesn't dress herself, a stylist does! Thats just my opinion. :)

HEY JEFF ASS excuse me Asch. Exactly why are you calling me stupid? How dare you. I don't recall pointing out anyone by name in my post or cutting them down or being rude. You should grow up and learn respect. Sesame Street knew who Katy Perry was and how she dressed before they asked her. If they had a problem they should never have asked her. You are the one that has a low IQ apparently because you speak like a fool and can't even spell someone's name correctly.

    LOL! Way to go, Katy!

Ok I dont want to play devils advocate... but there was a lot of cleavage there... especially when she was running. You would think that the outfit people would have figured that out.

    Right on Katy

Why are blaming her on the outfit she wore have you ever thought that the producers of the show had to approve what she was wearing before taping. Or if that outfit was made for her by the costume makers of Sesame Street. Yes adults are going to notice her boobs but is a 2 year old going to say mom look at those lucious big tatas? I think not. I think you are all haters and need something to do other than point out stuff wrong on television.

i can't believe sesame street even let that be filmed, let alone shown to viewers. even sesame st. got bitten by the boob bug and turned into a s l u t. how could any of the producers on that show even let her walk on set dressed like that. ...and please poster amy duzzan patton, you have to have an iq hovering around 70 to think that only "pervs" would "pay attention to her cleavage" in this clip. if that's true then 90% of our country are "pervs". she was dressed, and acted like a tramp. that may just as well have been a porn set for god's sake. she's dressed in an outfit that would make sasha gray blush, and elmo is running laps around her mini, mini, mini skirt. yeah amy, tell me for one more minute that we weren't supposed to "notice" that. you darling, need to grow up. nuff said.

Even from the 50s the princess always had on a dress with a similar neckline

    Let it go, Katy

Oh come on - it's so obvious she was trying to get media attention with the Sesame Street stunt and it totally worked. She knew damn well that wasn't appropriate attire for a childrens show where you would be running and Elmo would be running laps around your mini skirt. I agree that American's are uptight but common sense should prevail. Why do you have to show your boobs to be sexy? She could've worn jeans and a t-shirt and been just as attractive. Ultimately, Sesame Street should've asked her to change beforehand and I think it's wrong that this no-talent fame wh0re is then going to mock an American classic like Sesame Street because of her poor choices. Either way, she got exactly what she wanted - people talking about her.

I'm as open minded as much as the next person but come on people and Katy Perry! Kids are already exposed 2 2 much as it is already! Why not take it all in gracefully with a mini grain of salt if needed and rather understand that kids as it is already have very few things left for themselves that are pure and wholesome.....Sesame Street being one of them! Gezz, Katy talk about biting the hand that feeds! Be grateful you idiot! If she's really all that shocked about the whole thing as 2 where she feels she needs to mock a "Childrens program" then honey don't hit yourself on the way out.... ::rolls eyes::

I agree with Amy. My daughter loves it too, people are way oversensitive. And Katy Perry's whole act is kind of being a cartoonish type of figure anyway...if she had dressed up as wonderwoman would anyone have flinched? That was just silly.

they did a skit on Freaking True Blood.. but Katy is too much?? HELLO has anyone watch true Blood?? is sex, blood, vamps, and more sex

  • September 27, 2010 - 12:39am Amy Duzan Patton

I think it is rediculous that Sesame Street pulled the clip. My daughter loves that skit/song. Its the pervs that pay so much attention to her cleavage that need to be looked at. Jesus. Grow up people. I am glad she mocked them!

  • September 26, 2010 - 9:52pm Regina Johnson

what a pig. no one wants to see her flaunt herself. young people these days only think sex is the way to get noticed. i had never heard of her until this broke and then to joke about and mock sesame street with a push up bra and a ridiculous cut in the front of her tshirt. pig pig pig. it's okay although in about 10 years when no one even remembers her and she looks every one of her years pull out those pictures and remember your glory days.

"She is an adorable princess no matter what she wears." @ Glo. You got to be kidding me? What fairy tale book are you reading from, The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Just look at Elmo's mug. He is all bugged eyed. That ain't normal nor natural! Those are WMD's in the purest sense. Princess? She is cute as heck but just how do you carry on a conversation and look her in the eye when she doesn't even want you to? Heck I don't even know if she can string two sentences together without frying a couple fuses. She is oooh soo talented but does not need to resort to that in order to grab attention. Not much left to one's imagination except as to ascertain whether she is even human or not.

Wow, she must have been really bothered by them dumping her. Between her and her fiance they just can't seem to let it go...I think the responsibility lay with Sesame Street producers ultimately, but she could have used her head, too, and considered who she was playing for and dressed more appropriately...
