Very beautiful inspiring actor, love the dress, she looks like royalty with the purple.

Totally hideous. I agree that the top and bottom do not appear to be part of the same dress. And the hem looks like huge purple pom-poms. Hard to believe Givenchy would make such a dress.

The top doesn't seem to go with the bottom. Looks like a skirt and top, which isn't appropriate for her age for the Oscars. Love the fading colors idea, just not on this. Too much going on.

whoever she is...she is young and can have fun. people are so witchy(they won't let me put my starred word). it's a dress for goodness sakes. i get tired of everyone looking the same..anorexics in a tight solid dress. she was gorgeous.

it looks like she stole the border off a Santa Clause parade float and sewed it on a brides maids dress either that or shes horney and some guys hiding under there she could make pom poms for every cheerleader in the NBA NFL every division every team she could use all that extra fabric to make close for Unicef to run a clothe the naked campaighn in every third world country going she could use that fabric to start a small clothing line she could use the frills for a recycled langerie line or she could make banners for every birthday party in america i wonder who the date is she has hidding under there and does her other date know

It looks like 3 different dresses!! All of them beautiful, but cut in 3 different parts and put togheter creating one strange piece.

@I'm not Rajeb's girlfriend: I bet you were just describing yourself. You sound like a miserable loser so don't take it out on Zoe. Your post is a joke. There is nothing fat or ugly about Zoe.

I also think the designer owes Zoe an apology along the lines of the Olympic speedskating coach who told his front running skater to change lanes, causing him to be disqualified. The analogy is flawed since the dress didn't determine her winning an oscar or anything, but the call was just as bad.

It looked so awkward like she was dragging a shag bathroom carpet around with her, and then for it to be cut up to the yinyang in front - what was she thinking? Such a beautiful woman, and such a shame for somomeone who could have made almost any dress dazzle.

  • March 08, 2010 - 4:39pm Lady D

I loved this dress. It was very different and she looked fabulous in it! People need to stop hating all the time.

  • March 08, 2010 - 4:00pm G

It looks like she wore the purple, people eater. I like the top, but the bottom, nooooooooo!.

  • March 08, 2010 - 2:38pm viewer

Zoe is so strikingly beautiful that no matter what dress she wears (love it or hate it), she always looks gorgeous.

  • March 08, 2010 - 2:21pm Quemsie

@I'm not Rajeb's girlfriend: Simply, you are rude. If you're okay with that, then fine.

  • March 08, 2010 - 2:16pm Liza

To me it looks like her actual dress slid down around her waist, accidentally exposing some lacy undergarment. Then someone added a ton of purple icing with a pastry bag around her knees and feet. Seriously, does anyone have a fork? It looks edible, but not flattering.

    Loved it.

  • March 08, 2010 - 1:53pm Sarah

Overall, I don't mind it. I actually love the crazy ruffles and the purple shades. But, there is too much going on on top for a dress with a bottom like this, and I simply don't understand why there was a slit in the front.

  • March 08, 2010 - 1:23pm Anon

It was a very different dress but Zoe is lovely and I think she pulled it off.
