We're not sure what is more refreshing: Michelle Obama's ability to remix her wardrobe or the color of her mint green skirt.

During her first ever appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday night, the First Lady stepped out in a shimmering gold sweater teamed with the same chic J.Crew pencil skirt she wore two and a half years ago in London.
She accessorized with oversized stud earrings, a yellow jeweled belt and blush point-toe heels.

While J. Crew has been a closet staple for the 48-year-old since her husband President Barack Obama took office in 2008, she has no problem pulling off high fashion labels.

For the President's State of the Union on Jan. 24, Obama stepped out in a vibrant cobalt blue Barbara Tfank sheath, which retails for approximately $2,400.
