Nick Lachey: Why I Shaved My Head

What's the buzz?
Nick Lachey debuted a new cropped cut at the 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in the Brentwood section of L.A. Friday night.
"I just wanted a change," the former boy bander, 36, explained to UsMagazine.com. "I used to wear it short, and I have been in this business so long. and I got sick of it. I just decided to shave it."

But it won't be short for long.
"It's slowly growing back!" Lachey told Us
The singer attended the fete with on-again girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Their summer plans?
"We are both working. I am doing True Beauty 2, and he has a single coming out in August," Minnillo, 29, told Us. "In the middle of that, we are going to try and get away and take a mini summer vacation because why not? We are young, we don't have kids, we like to travel and visit the family."

"Of course, yeah," Lachey told Us when asked if he wants to start a family one day. "Absolutely!"
For now, they are getting practice watching little bro Drew Lachey's second child, Hudson, who was born on May 17. (Drew and his wife, Lea, also have a daughter Isabella, 4.)

"They don't live in California anymore so we have to make an effort to go and visit them and see them, but when I'm there, I love to babysit!" Lachey told Us. "They don't trust me very long with the new baby now."
Minnillo tells Us she'd also like to see her beau on Glee.
Admitted Lachey, "I'm not as avid an watcher as she is, but I went to a performing arts high school, so I always like to see the arts celebrated. It's cool to see how popular that show is based on the kind of show it is."

Nick did not shave his head. He simply got a buzz cut (crew cut). A shaved head is what Yul Breynner and Persis Khambatta had. It is when an actual razor, either straight razor of safety razor is used on the head. Please, let's use the correct terminology. Also, Natalie Portman had a buzz cut and not a shaved head.
I think he looks awesome, he looks awesome with any look! Plus, not only is he SUPER hot, he is a SUPER nice guy!!
hes not a bad looking guy- but should loose 20 lbs! loose that pudgy look around his face - kinda makes him look older!like those pudgy red faced(drunkard)old men get his nose refined - kinda lloks like a boxer whose been punched a lot!!! Then he cld be a real hottie ---seems like hes been lazy about his look---has'nt helped his career in a looks obsessed town...if you want to see sloppy, pudgy "thats for regular people ...not a performer. then he cld look like chatum channing!
Not sure which picture looks dorkier. He's not attractive, so the haircut doesn't make or break him.
Nick Lachey is fine..always has been...always will be. I do prefer him with his longer hair, but he is by far the finest out of all the boy banders. Jessica screwed up, and is probably too dumb to know it. He will make a great husband and father..hopefully not to Vanessa. Jessica will NEVER look as good as she looked as when she was with Nick.
@loska- i actaully agree with u!! if u look at all the pictures she is either clinging to him or he laughs and smiling for camera whereas he is serous!! i find that quite amusing!!!

@loska-Where is Nick's fame? You say Vanessa only wants Nick's money and fame, I don't see any fame! He is doing an article about shaving his head!
What's interesting to me, is if this was a woman, with such flawed features as Nick, other women would be tearing her to smithereens. However, since it's a guy, and he's a "celebrity," even though he's ugly, he's still considered attractive. Interesting conondrum, don't you think? Women charitable with ugly guys, yet unduly harsh with other attractive women. Interesting.
The problem isn't the hairstyle. It's that Nick has an ugly face. My boyfriend shaves his head all the time. However, he's got the looks to pull it off, and isn't dependent on hair and body to carry his looks, like Nick. Fat face, wide nose and inflated lips. Yuck. But he is Nick Latchey, so THAT makes him attractive. Change his name to "Joe Blow," and see what kind of response you would get (hypothetically of course). Yuck!
