Walking the red carpet at L.A.'s Kodak Theatre, the Best Supporting Actress nominee, 44, told E!'s Ryan Seacrest she wanted to keep the night's focus on her critically-acclaimed film.

Carter — who walked the carpet with her director beau Tim Burton — admitted she had one qualm about the 1800s-inspired LBD.

The nominee's final look drew high praise from E! Fashion Police commentator Kelly Osbourne.

"I adore you and I love the way you dress," Osbourne gushed to the British actress. "You set a standard and you don't care what people think and I'm obsessed with you!"
