PIC: Swedish Princess Marries Her Personal Trainer

It was a fairy tale wedding.
Crown Princess Victoria walked down the aisle to her former personal trainer, Daniel Westling, in front of 1,000 guests -- including presidents and kings -- in Stockholm Saturday.

Victoria, 32, heir to her country's throne (and also 196th in line to the British throne through her father, the third cousin to the Queen), met Westling when she joined the gym he owns in Stockholm eight years ago. The UK Daily Mail reports that Westling, 36, was mocked as an outsider with a country accent once their relationship went public.
Victoria was walked down the aisle by her father, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden. She wore an ivory silk, off-the-shoulder gown designed by Par Engsheden and a 16-foot train that perfectly matched her veil. Roger Vivier created Belle de Nuit heels for the bride's big day. The country's native Ikea erected a two-story replica of the princess' castle.

Ten flower girls held small white bouquets and white dresses, while three pageboys dressed in sailor suits.
Four ministers conducted the ceremony, held in the Stockholm Cathedral, in which the bride and groom teared up. They both loudly exclaimed "Yes!" when one of the archbishops asked them to confirm their vows.

After saying "I Do," the couple boarded the gilded boat Vasaorden and headed off to the palace for a lavish reception. Some 250,000 people lined the streets of Stockholm to wish them well. See more photos of the wedding.
Westling -- who grew up middle class, the son of a post office clerk and social services center manager -- is now Prince Daniel, Duke of Vastergotland.

What kind of birth control is she on? They've been dating for 8 years and she hasn't gotten pregnant. Those royals NEVER do out of wedlock. Justin Timberlake is ugly, glasses or not. His money and celebrity status are the only things "attractive" about him. I wouldn't give JT the time of day, and I'm not even a celebrity. The guy in the picture looks like a dork. However, his bride is cute though.
i think, as a swedish person, it's very fun to read what you all have to say that does not know anything about our country, history, royalties and the crown prinsess and prins daniel. it's fun to see what other think! HAHA!
If you look at the alternate pictures you can see that the man is cute. Yes, the glasses are distracting but what if you saw Justin Timberlake in his glasses for the first time ever-you'd think the same thing about him. Only the Duke looks like he's built versus the lanky JT!

Well, she really looked happy on her wedding day, and the dress...! It was regal, simple (like one would expect from her) and stunning, with the thickest silk I've ever seen. Royalties aren't rich "nobodies", they are representatives of a country and a history, and they carry a heavy burden of expectations and responsabilities one can't envy them. Crown princess Victoria is highly intelligent, has tremendous warmth and hard is working. I think she is truly genuin and im confident she made the right decision. My best wishes from Norway.
I watched the wedding on tv and it was lovely. they have been fighting a long time for this and they went through a lot together - THIS IS REAL LOVE! I wish them all the best and I very much prefer these down to earth royals over our lying politicians! hate his glasses though!
Personal trainer? Yes indeed, but Daniel was also the owner of a chain of very exclusive gyms, i.e. a selfmade multimillionaire. And Prince Daniels father is hardly "just" an office manager, he is the head of the department of social services in the commune of Sandviken. Fairytale? Yes, but hardly a story of going straight from rags to riches.

What a beautiful gown she is wearing and it is also very refreshing royalty marrying a "commoner" who I would suppose is not wealthy. Good for them and I wish them a long and healthy marriage.
