POTUS is just like Us!

President Barack Obama shopped at the Gap store on 42nd Street and 3rd Avenue in New York City on March 11, picking up a few tops for wife Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia.

Obama browsed the sweaters at the Manhattan store but when a sales associate suggested a v-neck style, he quickly shot it down. "I'm worried the V-neck is going to slip," he told reporters (via NY Post) before settling on a crewneck version.

All in all, Obama, who visited the Gap to show his support for the store's decision to raise minimum wages, spent $154.85 on two sweaters for his daughters and a blue workout jacket for FLOTUS. "It never hurts to bring something back when y you've been on a road trip. You get bonus points when you go home," he said. "I think the ladies will be impressed by my style sense."

Impressed or not, shopping for his uber-fahsionable ladies, who often wear J. Crew and Kate Spade, is no doubt intimidating for a father (leader of the free world or not), so kudos to him.

When it came time to swipe his credit card, Obama joked to the cashier, "Oh, wow. So, you can sign the machine?" Then he quickly added, "They had these around the last time I shopped."
