A rep for Filipino teen singer Charice Pempengco denies that the upcoming Glee star, 18, underwent Botox to change her appearance.
According to the Associated Press, celeb cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo tells ABS-CBN television that Charice received injections in an effort to make her "naturally round face" more narrow before she begins filming Glee later this month.

But her rep tells UsMagazine.com the point of the procedure was "to relieve a jaw problem similar to TMJ."
"It did not hurt; it relieved the pain," Charice's rep tells Us. "You've seen her face - she doesn't have a wrinkle in it so she wouldn't need it for cosmetic purposes. The Glee people are thrilled with the way she looks which is why she got the part."

Charice was raised by a single mother and sang in local contests before getting her big break on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age 15.
She begins filming her Glee gig later this month. She plays a foreign exchange student who will serve as serious competition for lead character Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

74Oh well...Fame and money can change a person...I thought she was humble and down to earth, but looks can be deceiving.
I bet you the next time she does botox for her TMJ will be on the Doctorstv Show. Lets see what she will do about it after 3 to 4 months when her first treatment wears off.
Anyone who believes the damage-control/spin Charice's rep(s) are shoveling--i.e. the botox treatment was NOT done for cosmetic purprose but to treat TMJ AND/or to reduce swelling from too much GUM CHEWING... probably believes BP really cares about making those affected by its oil spill whole again; and that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny really exist. Charice's career will go on--albeit a bit tarnished or "asterisked" * in the eyes of some--provided she avoids anymore airhead stupid decisions on her part.
looks can be over powered by talent , but in charice decision to underwent botox. well its her choice and i rescpect that besides her doctor explained that its none invasive procedure therefore it will not alter anything..as long charice will take care of her voice because whenver she sangs absolutely a goosebumps....
helloo sharpie. i love sharpie... addicted to all the ultrafines... if i had a chance at glee too, i'll go have my teeth whitened and have the works done. that's my more than 5 minutes of fame. no one hurt anybody except for the judgmental ones... at least the chick was honest about it... i love sharpie... can we change the font
One thin i can say to the doctor. User, you M%^&%&F8878B!!!
Way to go, Dr. Belo. Nice work there messing up Charice's chances at worldwide stardom. Just when she is about to get more positive exposure on Glee, you just had to inject yourself into the picture and use Charice as a vehicle for your selfish self-promotion, to Charice's detriment. Now she is the target of more cruel comments, no thanks to you. Unbelievable how you single-handedly contributed to causing much damage to public opinion of Charice. Congratulations...and you're Charice's godmother? What were you thinking? Oh, wait, you weren't thinking of her but only of your own gain. That figures. (And I just had to try these Sharpies! Very cool!)
why did charice did not get her botox to make her face more narrow
why?
Who the heck are they kidding with that bullcrap spin? Charice and her doctor, Belo, were caught on video (search Youtube for botox and Charice) admitting that the procedures were for cosmetic purposes. Dr Belo said: "due to excess gum chewing, Charice's cheeks/face expanded. The botox will reduce Charice's face/ cheeks". Charice stated: "I want to look fresh when being filmed for Glee". There was no mention of TMJ or jaw problem on the video. The TMJ issue is just spin coming from PR people.
There are more positive comments here I am so happy. Charice Keep It Up! I know you will always stay humble as long you have your mother by your side. Mothers Knows Best! Good Luck and I Love You!
charice is the best singer ever like leighton meester....
I don't think her face is any of our business, but I just had to try the Sharpie thing!!!
According to the National Institutes of Health brochure on TMJ Disorders, "Botox has NOT been approved by the FDA for use in TMJ disorders. Research is under way to learn how Botox specifically affects jaw muscles and their nerves."
If Charice reads this..i just want to say BE STRONG! Some People will always want to pull you down by sensationalizing and manipulating media reports. And media will do anything just to get a story! Just stay focused on your singing and try to maintain a low profile if possible. Let your talent do the talking! God Bless!
I love Charice but I hate the doctor DR. VICKY BELO!!!! breaching the patient-doctor confidentiality!!!
cool font!!!
im excited to see that Girl in Glee : ) i saw her performed at Pridefest and boy i was floored. she sings so great...i dont care about botox as long as her voice will botox you
I'm no doctor but I cant think of a way that botox could make her face narrower
