Sandra Bullock: My Stepdaughter Helped Me Pick My Oscar Gown!

Best Actress Oscar winner Sandra Bullock didn't decide on an Oscar dress until the day before the show.
What made her settle on her shimmering gold beaded Marchesa gown?
"Somebody helped me decide – my oldest stepdaughter," The Blind Side star, 45, told UsMagazine.com on the red carpet. "It was her favorite."

The only downfall?
"I know nothing on how to stay comfortable," she told Us.
Getting ready for the big show was "pretty calm," Bullock told Us. "I got up a little later than I normally do, and I let everyone else do the work. If I'd done the work, I wouldn't look like this, that's for sure."

The day before she won her Oscar, Bullock took home two Golden Raspberry Awards. She nabbed Worst Actress of 2009 for All About Steve and shared Worst Screen Couple with her Steve costar Bradley Cooper.
She is now the first actress to win a Razzie and an Oscar over the same weekend.
"They'll sit side by side in a nice little shelf somewhere..." she joked backstage. "The Razzie maybe on a different shelf, lower."
She said she "had the best time" picking up her Razzie. "It probably means more that both of them happened at the same time because it's the great equalizer. Nothing ever lets me get too full of myself."
The actress told Us she plans on celebrating her winning weekend with a burger and a nap.
Said Bullock, "I want to take the shoes off ... eat and not worry that the dress will bust open!"

She DID thank the Touhy family in her speech, so get over that. Sandy IS a nice person in real life; ask anyone who has worked with her or met her. Just because Jesse works as a "grease monkey" doesn't make him a scumbag. Sandra loves his kids; it was not a dig at the ex-wife, stop looking to throw mud on this woman! She looked great, she deserved the award, shut up and get over it! Stop the hate, people!

Sandra Bullock is either a "public image" genius with the most down-to-earth outlook or she has a team of publicists who possess the same genius. Sandra seems to always come across as genuine, warm and personable. Either she is adorable or she knows how to pull the wool over the eyes of our collective consciousness.
Glad she did away with the shoulder bow the runway version of this dress had back in February. Very appropriate and very complimentary shape and color for her. I just wish she would have gone with a different lip color--something just as saturated, but from the warmer side of the spectrum. Congrats, Sandra!
What's all this nonsense about Janine being a "drug addict?" Janine isn't in jail because of drugs. She's doing time for not paying taxes... something a LOT of mainstream people do all the time (including Sarah Palin). And what Janine does for a living is legal and nothing, IMO, to be ashamed of. Apparently ANON.below who said this dress would look better on a black woman does not read Vogue, Cosmo or any other stylish magazine. I am a pale skinned woman with dark hair and Silver is for pale skinned women. We also are not supposed ot wear yellow gold, but silver instead is it goes better with our skin tone. Gold is for darker skinned women therefore a golden colored dress would be for a black woman. My husband is hispanic and looks awful in silver but rocks yellow gold. So if you are a black woman, do not wear silver tones, you have bad style sense.

Sandra Bullock looked gorgeous and her acceptance speech was beautiful. She is one of those actresses who are way underrated. And I am still trying to figure out where she made a "dig" at someone, because I didn't see it!!!

Jessies ex wife will never be nominated for mother of the year. She is a drug addict and a porn star. You notice how I put drug addict first.
