Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) dons a $48 plaid top in the hotly anticipated sequel, designed by series stylist Patricia Field.
But she pairs the look with $795 Brian Atwood pumps. (UsMagazine.com found a pair of similar lavender studded heels by Steve Madden for $110, left.)

Parker has said the sequel will address the sagging economy.
"How do we address these economic times in a franchise that has a lot to do with luxury and labels? There is a lot that we have to think about because times are very different. So these are nice challenges, these are good challenges," she said.

Still, Field told Us the clothes would be over-the-top when the girls travel to the desert. (There, Parker runs into her ex Aidan Shaw, played by John Corbett. Watch the preview.)
"If I'm going on some fantastic vacation, your vanities are awakened!" Field said. "You get your clothes together."
Of the second film, Field told Us, "I had a lot of fun doing this movie, more so than even the first one."
