Exclusive: Shania Twain's Engagement Ring: All the Details!

Shania Twain looked especially dazzling at Serafina's Fabulous Grill in NYC on Dec. 16. A witness tells Us the singer, 45, and her brand-new fiance Frederic Thiebaud were "super cuddly" as they sipped champagne and dined on pasta and salads.
Nearly stealing the show from the superstar? The huge diamond engagement ring on her finger.

"Shania was glowing while showing off her ring," another onlooker tells Us. When a fellow Serafina's patron noticed the sparkler and congratulated Twain on the engagement, she lit up and replied, "Thank you!"
Nestle executive Thiebaud, 40, proposed to Twain in Switzerland two months ago with the eye-catching bauble -- and worked directly with famed jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to design it.
The result: a 3-carat, emerald-cut rock worth an estimated $100,000.

A day after UsMagazine.com broke the news, Twain confirmed her engagement with a heartfelt letter to fans Tuesday.
"I'm in love!" she wrote "Frederic Nicolas Thiebaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship. Fred and I are happy to announce, our ENGAGEMENT!"

Thiebaud is ex-husband to Twain's ex-BFF Marie-Anne Thiebaud -- the woman Robert "Mutt" Lange, Twain's husband of 14 years, abruptly left her for in May 2008. She and Frederic became close in the aftermath of their shocking divorces.
"I've never seen Shania so happy," a source tells Us.

I'm sorry but the whole situation ... husband/wife swap grosses me out. It was either a swap or Shania & Frederic got together to piss off their significant others or perhaps they were both hurt and needed someone to talk to and the friendship did turn to love. Whatever it is, Shania is a beautiful wealthy woman who could probably have any man she wanted. Why didn't she at least take some time for herself before jumping into another marriage? Why didn't she date? I realize we're just fans and it's really none of our business but Lord have mercy!
What is really funny, almost hilarious, about this STRANGE events; I know Shania is only a high school graduate but one would think that any person with average intelligence would at least date before diving. There are approximately 3.3 BILLION men on earth and she grabs the first two that come a calling. There is such thing as 'true love', and there is such thing as 'a love'. UNBELIEVABLE! Borders on the line of desperation and why, she could have literally any man.....ASTOUNDING!
Well she traded UP! Much easier on the eyes than her ugly ex-husband. Although the whole things a little weird, wish them the best!
