El Cid's Smokey & Spicy Raspberry Margarita Credit: El Cid

Spring's just around the corner and it's time to trade in your dark winter brews for sweeter cocktails. One of the most popular drinks served at El Cid, a historic music venue/bar-restaurant in L.A.'s celeb-friendly hipster neighborhood of Silver Lake, is its Smoky and Spicy Raspberry Margarita.

The cocktail is a mix of lime juice, agave nectar, raspberry habanero jam, and Montelobos Mezcal. Here, L.A. Masura, the resident mixologist at El Cid (which counts Christina Applegate, Dr. Dre, and Henry Winkler as fans and Ke$ha as a former host) shares with Us Weekly her cocktail recipe:

Smokey and Spicy Raspberry Margarita:
2oz Montelobos Mezcal
2oz lime juice
1oz organic agave nectar
1 large spoon of Laura Ann's Raspberry Habanero Jam

Place all contents in a boston shaker with a scoop of ice and shake vigorously until well combined. Strain into a salted margarita glass filled with ice.  Garnish with lime wheel & fresh raspberries.
