"There will only be one ring, which is in accordance to the wishes of Prince William and Catherine," a Clarence House spokesperson tells UsMagazine.com.
"It's quite common for there to just be the one ring in society or royal weddings," a source adds. "It's been the same in other royal weddings, so it's not a rare occurrence."
Indeed, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew both chose to wear a signet bearing their Coat of Arms, while Prince Charles -- who didn't wear a wedding band while married to Princess Diana -- now wears a small ring tucked behind his signet.
