Stylist: Willow Smith, 9, Is "Very" Involved With Her "Edgy" Look

Willow Smith, 9, isn't just Hollywood royalty and a budding actress...she's a fashion icon in the making!
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's daughter has been making her mark recently on red carpets and fashion shoots with out-there hairstyles and wardrobe choices that recall Rihanna and other rule-breaking celebs.
"She is young, edgy, and individual," the little girl's stylist, Rob Zangardi, tells UsMagazine.com.

Zangardi says he and Mariel Haenn have customized "hundreds of pieces" for Willow and older brother Jaden.
And despite her tender age, Willow is "very" involved in picking out her ensembles, Zangardi says. "We start off the design process sitting down with her and talking about what we wanted to make," he explains, using magazines and other "creative references" for inspiration.

At the L.A. premiere of Jaden's The Karate Kid, Willow wore a leopard pony hair jacket and a leopard pants ("during the fitting it just kind of came together," the stylist says) -- and toted a pricey Givenchy bag.
But Willow's not into designer labels, Zangardi explains. "It wasn't about the fact that it was a Givenchy bag; it was about the fact that it has gold spikes and star studs on it."
Willow's young age, he says, "allows her to have a little bit more fun and take more risks than an adult could. We just made her a 3-finger ring in diamond and gold."

Any inspiration from her mother Jada, 38? "She's got her mom's rock and roll sensibilities," he says. "The skulls and some of those pieces that Jada likes--like leather motorcycle jackets."

121OMG! It is so funny how grown people are commenting on a CHILD's behavior. You all say she is growing to fast, she is a child. Yet you sit there and judge her and pick her apart like she is an adult. The kid is happy and believe it or not, this isn't the 50s. Children have style!! She also has intellect and poise! And to whoever said that about her looking like a boy in drag... would you say that to your own child? The hypocrisy of you ignorant, opinionated folk is offensive. She may be the child, but you all are certainly displaying that you are the children.

NO WAY are those pictures of a girl. It's good for kids to express their individuality, it's a healthy part of the growing process. But show us a GIRL picture... not a little boy in drag! I would never believe this kid came from Will & Jada, they are too beautiful.

Willow looks just like her father. I think in this photos she looks cute but alot older then her age. She is a hollywood child so that's what we expect for the kids to grow up fast. I think she is a cutie. Good job Will and Jada.

i think Willow has a good sense of style for an 9 years old and knows what suits and what doesn't he,r even if she is collabrating with different styles and features, it shows that she's not afraid to be edgy, even though the syle isn't fresh or orignal, it's what she personal likes it's got nothing bloody to do what other people think, i'm sorry but it doesn't.
It's not her style, it's her stylist's style.
