I think Michelle looks fabulous. When the Queen of England was younger, she wore strapless gowns. How old are you anyway? Be respectful, you prude.

Drawing too much attention to herself as a sex object. Her pretty bare skin should be saved for the bedroom during her husband's Presidency. Lack of class is showing.

Does Mrs O ever wear a dress that isn't to long for her?

  • January 15, 2010 - 9:41pm Sara

The dress looks fantastic, but I wish her hair was a little more polished. It's messy looking and doesn't match the dress.

georgous and fab. its 2010 let our first lady jazz things up. who says she can't wear strapless. didn't know there were rule books for being elegant and over 40.

I am South African and I am so appalled by these comments about the USA first lady!!! I think if you had any respcet for yourselves you would respect her and other.

Darn it, I wish we could see the shoes, too.

That is just a bad angle, she is a beautiful woman. I just wish she would have chosen a U.S. Designer and a dress with more color to accentuate her skin tone.

I adore this dress. But I dont know if the first lady should be attempting something so revealing. not that this dress is extremely revealing. but i think strapless and no sleeves is going a little to far. Maybe a reserved look would be better knowing her position. Gorgeous dress though!

I think she looks lovely in this gown . actually the first time I have seen her look so wonderful .

  • December 24, 2009 - 10:23pm style

Does anyone remember Nancy Reagan. She wasn't pretty either but, got plenty of praise on her style and spent way too much money for her clothes.

I don't think it appropriate for a 40ish woman to go strapless, esp. the first lady (should be going for respectful look, not sexy). Obama is way overrated as far as I'm concerned, but obviously, not all feel as I do.
