Five Charged With Felony Burglary of Hollywood Stars

Wednesday – October 28, 2009 – 7:08pm

The stars of Hollywood can rest easy.

Five alleged members of a high-profile gang of thieves -- who were involved in the burglary of homes owned by the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton -- have been charged with felony first-degree residential burglary, Usmagazine.com has learned.

The L.A. County District Attorney charged Nicholas Prugo, 18, with seven counts of burglary. He allegedly stole from Lohan, Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox and L.A. businessman Nick Deleo.

On Wednesday, Diana Tamayo, 19, was charged with robbing Lohan as well as Disney star Ashley Tisdale. Courtney Ames, 18, and Roy Lopez, Jr., 27, were charged with the burglary of Hilton only. Alexis Neirs, 18, was charged with stealing from the home of Bloom. (District Attorney Kaarin Axelsen declined to charge on Las Vegas teen Rachel Lee pending further investigation.)

After allegedly studying celebrity magazines and websites and picking out clothing and jewelry they wanted, various members of the group allegedly began breaking into homes between December 2008 and Oct. 11.

Late last week, police in L.A. and Las Vegas took the four of the suspects into custody under suspicion of burglarizing the homes of the Hollywood stars and netting more than $3 million in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories.

At the time, Prugo -- a high school classmate of Ames, Neiers and Tamayo -- was only a person of interest as he had been arrested in September for allegedly stealing $170,000 in jewelry and clothes from Lohan and Patridge.

Fabulous already felons at 18 and 19. Great more super productive members of society to bring us all down... this is why I hate paying taxes... at least celebs have jobs and spend money to help out economy and become more upwardly mobile.
