Michael Lohan Describes Horror He Saw During Lindsay Intervention

On Thursday, when Michael Lohan accompanied the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to Lindsay's L.A. home to check on 16-year-old daughter Ali, he was shocked at what he saw.
Everything was "a mess," he tells UsMagazine.com. "I said, 'Ali, it's dad, and I'm with the sheriffs.' Ali poked her head out of the bedroom, and I walked up to her and I said, 'What’s going on, honey? Are you okay?' and she started crying.
"Then I looked in the bedroom; there was a mattress on the floor with no furniture," he continues. "Lindsay was laying on the mattress, sleeping."
When she got up, Michael says his actress-daughter, 23, "looked like she was hit by a truck."
Her eyes were "pale and bloodshot, and her hair was a mess," Michael tells Us. "She came up to me and said, 'What are you doing here?' And I said, 'I want to check on Ali, and I want to know you're okay. I want to sit down and talk to you.' Then she said, 'Get out of my apartment!' She started yelling at the police. Some random girl, who looked like she's anorexic and on heroin, walked out of the other room, and I said, 'Who are you?' and she said, 'I'm her friend,' and I said, 'Listen, friend, step out of the way, this is between me and my daughters!'"

Although Michael says he is concerned about the welfare of Ali, 16, when she is with Lindsay, officers determined there was no danger at all after inspecting Lindsay's house and interviewing both girls.
Still, Michael says he is convinced Lindsay has a drug problem and needs help.
"We all know she's drinking and if she’s on prescription drugs, you can’t do both. And then there's cocaine, of course," he says. "There's some other things I’ve heard, but I can't prove." (His daughter needs rehab, he says, "but it's got to be long-term rehab and not a rehab that gives her prescription drugs to help her get OFF drugs.")

For the record, Lindsay denies she is abusing drugs again. "He's nuts," she told Us Thursday.
Michael says he just wants his daughter to get better. He tells Us, "It breaks my heart to see Ali and Lindsay."

Lindsay is well past the age of majority and after a point, if she won't realize there's a problem, you have to let her go. Ali on the other hand should be required by the courts to stay away from Lindsay for her own protection. Lindsay stopped being a positive influence for her years ago. But Dina is in denial too so I wonder who is actually going to care enough to bother with an intervention for Lindsay besides her dad. At least he cares enough to get her help and want her clean, happy, healthy. No one in my family will set up an intervention for my mom. Everyone thinks it's too late and my mother is only 45.
