Too much love! One Adam Levine fan took her adoration for the singer a step too far on Monday, April 6, attacking Levine in the middle of a concert.
Levine and his Maroon 5 bandmates were in the middle of a show at Anaheim, Calif.'s Honda Center, when things took a turn for the dramatic. The frontman, 36, was crooning the lyrics to the band's 2014 single "It Was Always You" but was unexpectedly interrupted.
A young woman managed to make her way on to the stage and beelined for Levine. Running across the stage, she came up behind him and put her hands on his shoulders, wrapping her arms around his neck to embrace him.
Taken aback, Levine bobbed and weaved to try to avoid the fan and pushed her away, before acquiescing and putting his arm around her as security was in sight. A member of the band's team rushed to the star, removing the young woman from the scene.
Levine turned and waved goodbye to the crazed fan as she was taken away, shrugging to the crowd after the bizarre incident.
"That was f--king weird, right?" the heartthrob told the Maroon 5 World Tour audience. "She like, cut my ear with her fingernail... It's just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you're singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone's f--king in your face. It's super terrifying."
