Andre Leon Talley has a bone to pick with Kim Kardashian. During the Sept. 24 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Vogue contributing editor was asked by a viewer why his face was blurred out during the star's wedding episode of her family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. ALT was shocked — shocked! — by the question, and insisted to Cohen that he signed a release to appear on camera.
"Was I blurred out? What?!" he exclaimed. "Oh my goodness, I signed a big release. Oh no, Kim's gonna hear from me tonight," he sassed. Then, eager for more details, he asked, "How blurred out was it? Blurred out? Ooooh!"
As seen on the Sept. 1 finale, Talley's face was blurred in scenes where he appeared alongside Kim, Kanye West, other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and wedding guests including Valentino and Jonathan Cheban. Thanks to his colorful kaftan and imposing stature, however, fans of the series were able to identify him right away, face or no face.
Some questioned at the time why Talley wouldn't consent to being on the show, especially since he blogged extensively about the big day for Vogue.com, and talked at length about it on an earlier episode of WWHL. And it looks like Talley himself has some questions, too!
The style pundit, 64, also spoke with Cohen about Kim's half-sister Kendall Jenner, and whether he thinks she's "overrated" as a model. (The 18-year-old KUWTK star has been an increasingly steady presence on the runways at fashion week, walking in shows for Chanel, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, and Pucci, among others.)
"She did very well. She's very professional, and she's walking in the best shows," Talley said of Jenner. "Marc Jacobs — they respect her. She did Chanel in Paris. She is professional. She takes it seriously. She looks good on the runway. I love her — despite that Kim blushed me out, blurred me out of her wedding!"
