Fans at Taylor Swift's four sold-out shows at L.A.'s Staples Center in late August were treated to some extra-special performances by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, and Sara Bareilles. And now fans who weren't at the shows can get in on the action, too. On Friday, Sept. 6, the "Red" singer shared a special behind-the-scenes video about her epic week in L.A., with footage of her surprise guests backstage.
"Staples memories. Starring @CherLloyd @TeganAndSara @EllieGoulding @SaraBareilles @JLo," the 23-year-old pop star tweeted, along with a link to the seven-minute clip.
The video opens with Brit singer Cher Lloyd, who joins Swift onstage to sing her hit "Want U Back." Talking about the experience after the show, Lloyd gushes, "I think it went amazingly. It's just a bit crazy because I'm the silly British girl that came to America and just performed with Taylor Swift. I can't wait to show my mom!"
Next up is Bareilles singing "Brave" with Swift, followed by duo Tegan & Sara singing "Closer" while jumping around onstage. "It was really nerve-wracking," the two noted of their performance. "[Taylor] was like, 'Be prepared. There's going to be lots of screaming and lots of excitement.'"
The clip also features Goulding belting out "Anything Could Happen" with the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer. "She's awesome, she's an inspiration," the Brit says of Swift. "I can't thank her enough for letting me do this, because it's been really good."
Last but not least is Lopez, who takes the stage in a gold baseball cap and glittering white jumpsuit to sing Swift's favorite "hairbrush song," "Jenny From the Block." Speaking before the performance in a backstage huddle with Swift and some of the dancers and other tour members, Lopez thanks the young star for welcoming her to the show.
"Thank you so much for allowing our family to come and be a part of your family," the American Idol judge says. "Thank you, Taylor, for being so gracious and beautiful and loving me enough to have me be here tonight. I feel very blessed to be able to share the stage with you, and I just hope that everybody has the best show that they could ever have."
