‘Bachelorette’ Star Jordan Rodgers Denies Raya Dating Activity

In the hot seat. JoJo Fletcher’s season 12 Bachelorette front-runner, Jordan Rodgers, wants to make it very clear that he’s no longer looking for love on the dating app Raya. The former football player came under fire on Wednesday, June 22, when Entertainment Tonight reported that his profile was still active.

“Completely false. Acct inactive since Feb + completely cancelled exact min phone was returned 2 me in May – Fact check,” Rodgers, 27, tweeted on Wednesday. The athlete, younger brother to Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers, then wrote a longer explanation to critics.

“I inactivated my profile on Raya immediately before filming. Meaning my profile was no longer visible to anyone to ‘match’ or anything. Obviously I had no clue how long or what the show would hold for me. Per contract, immediately after my filming on the show ends I cannot use these types of applications nor would I want to breach contract by doing so,” he wrote.

“I would not be dumb enough to breach my contract or do anything related to a dating app to give any insight to what may or may not have happened on the show,” he continued. “I will be reaching out to @raya to assure this matter gets addressed bc I am not currently paying for nor have accessed this application since filming ended for me. Any photos attempting to prove otherwise are old screenshots from before filming. I am not subscribed to this app nor have it on my phone.” (Rodgers also provided an email showing that his account would expire.)

Rodgers was an early favorite on the Bachelorette season, but he’s had a few hiccups along the way. Last month, his ex-girlfriend Brittany Farrar accused him of cheating in an Instagram post following the premiere. Fletcher, 25, confronted him about an ex during the show’s Monday, June 20, episode.

“I actually met somebody that you used to date. She was in Dallas, and this girl told me that you guys had dated, and you kind of were off and on with her, you kind of blew her off, there was some trust stuff,” the Texas native told Rodgers during their one-on-one date.

Rodgers appeared uncomfortable but denied that he had a wandering eye. He replied: “[I] made a lot of mistakes as far as putting things ahead of that relationship, and insecurities, and who I was, and where my career was at, and where I thought I should be, and the person I thought I should be.”

Rodgers may have to defend himself even more in the future. On the June 20 episode, the other suitors admitted they were starting to get threatened by Rodgers.
