While Chad Johnson couldn’t get along with anyone on The Bachelorette, he seems to have found an ally — Spencer Pratt. The two notorious reality TV villains struck up a bromance on Twitter on Tuesday, August 2, as their respective shows aired.
It all started when Pratt, 32, said he was sad to see Johnson, 28, get booted from Bachelor in Paradise on the first night. “Just when this TV night couldn’t get worse @realchadjohnson is kicked off #BachelorInParadise,” he wrote, hinting that he disliked The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now 10-year anniversary special, which was airing on MTV the same night. (Pratt was not a fan of the special and revealed on Twitter that he wouldn’t be watching.)
Then, Johnson asked the Hills alum whether he’d seen the premiere episode, which included bizarre antics and offensive comments. “@spencerpratt did you watch bachelor in paradise? Lol,” the luxury real estate agent tweeted.
“Watching now,” Pratt replied. "@realchadjohnson I think Jordan and JoJo had u roofied,” he said in a second tweet. Then, he tweeted at a supplement company, asking if they had sent Johnson — who infamously brought up protein at every opportunity during The Bachelorette — any products yet.
When a fan tweeted them both, writing “please be friends,” Spencer made dreams come true and tweeted back, “We are BFF.”
Pratt even defended “Bad Chad” when a Twitter user called him out for saying horrible things to fellow Bachelor in Paradise cast member Sarah Herron about her arm. “He was blacked out,” Pratt shot back.
The Chad commentary didn’t end there for Pratt. “@realchadjohnson wasn’t ready for drinking in Mexican heat #BachelorinParadise,” he joked, later adding, “Chad clearly doesn’t hit Cabo Spring break circuit."
