Barack Obama Doesn't Like His Daughters Watching the Kardashians, Says Michelle

We live in a Kardashian nation, but President Barack Obama isn't exactly a fan of reality TV's royal family!
First Lady Michelle Obama tells iVillage that her hubby, 50, doesn't like Sasha, 10, and Malia, 13, keeping up with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian's antics on the boob tube.

Michelle, 47, says that like most parents, she and Barack regulate how much TV their daughters watch and what they're allowed to see. "Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians -- when they watch that stuff -- he doesn't like that as much," she told iVillage.

"But I sort of feel like if we're talking about it, and I'm more concerned with how they take it in -- what did you learn when you watched that," Michelle explained. "And if they're learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I'm like, okay."

While the Kardashian family is known for their big spending (Kim purchased a $325,000 Ferrari earlier this month), their upbringing wasn't entirely different from Sasha and Malia's.
Michelle tells iVillage she doesn't her girls raised as "little princesses."

"They have to make their own beds, to clean up their rooms," she says. "Sasha has started doing the laundry. Malia was supposed to be doing it but [Sasha] is really into laundry."
Khloe, 27, told Babycenter last month about her "Cinderella" upbringing. "When I turned twelve, my mom's housekeeper was not allowed to enter my room," she said. Kris Jenner told her at the time: "You're twelve now. You do all your own laundry. You make your bed."

Khloe said when Kendall and Kylie Jenner were born, "I had to do all the dishes and I cooked for them. But honestly now, I'm a great cook and I'm OCD clean and I like that my parents did that."

I think his daughters are way too young, their language alone is a turn off.
They definitely are not like most families. These are slobs. No one in my family has a porn flick out on the internet, or talks like these pigs do. They are trash, and no way should young teens watch them. I wouldn't give any of them the right time of day. Unfortunately I believe it is the young, very young, keeping this junk on tv, along with 16 and pregnant.
I'm sure the Kardashians love Barack! It's nice to see he finds them trashy and poor role models.

Ummm To Amy Travis Me and my mom watch the kardashians together and to Donny Roberts Me and my mom also watch Secret Life of The American Teenager. And to everyone else I also watch Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant with my mom. My mom says that if watch wat those girls have 3 go through everyday then maybe it will put something into my head sayin HEY THIS IS DUMB and even before watchin the show I was like no sex before marriage but after watching the show I'm like wow this sucks it isnt a pice of cake for them. And the kardashians are real people just like us so the only reason you guys trash talk them is because your jealous and have nothing else to do with your lives. Tracie, just so you know - they are not a regular family - they swear far too much to be considered "average", they say alot of crass comments to be considered normal and their obsession with money I HOPE TO G*D is not normal. These people are self-obsessed attention wh*res. Point in fact, you don't know them either so all your justifications and defense of them is based entirely on your obsession. Their show is for the female 25-35 who has literally nothing going for them. Go to Sears, buy their cr*p clothes and then maybe you will realize what scammers they are. Get a life please.

The ppl on this post are quite hypcrtical. If you can honestly tell me you grew up in a perfect family where no one teased each other, called someone out of their name, curse at some time or another or argued as a family then you must have fallen out of Dorothy's tornado....the Kardashians are a regulr family who just so happens to have money. They have each other's back but they get angry with other too...yeah they can be a bit crass but aren't family's at home the same way? Their show is not for children and parents shouldn't let their children watch it, but to just berate them for being who they are is stupid. For those who really hate them (which is really sick because you don't know them) just stop watching them.... ohhhh, but you can't...I forgot that!
ITs not about the family being trashy, have you ever sat down and watched an episode? I watch every once in a while but I would never let my pre-teens watch them, they are very self-centered and spoiled and it is not a good influence, while they are not the only bad pop culture influences, it is a parents choice to allow their children to be filtered from television, if the Pres, doesnt want them to watch the K's so be it, its not a shot against them but the way HE chooses to allow TV to influence his children

First off, Thank you Mr. & Mrs. O for giving them more publicity. :) The family is as normal as any other family in America. The only difference is they make millions for others to watch them. I don't see anything trashy about them. Khloe is outspoken, but doesn't everyone have one member in their family who is like her?I bet you do. Give it up ppl. There is a lot of jealousy out there for this family. I wonder what is ok for teenagers to watch these days? hmm...let's see 90210, Gossip Girl, Secret Life of an america teenager, Vampire Diaries, MTV Teenage MOM's or better yet MTV's real world or Jersey Shore? Come on, if you don't like them change the channel & get over them.
